Countesswells development
Countesswells is a flourishing new community to the West of Aberdeen which is bordered by Countesswells, Foggieton and Hazlehead woods. Its ethos is all about wellbeing and getting out into the surrounding countryside, and aims to expend to 3000 homes with a range of shops, cafes and schools.
Charlotte came highly recommended by Stewart Milne Homes having previously worked her festive magic on some of their housing developments. And what better way to mark the first year in their new homes for residents of Countesswells than gathering together for the switching on of the Christmas lights and carol singing under a stunning 25ft tree.
Charlotte provided a 25ft tree which sat centrally within the development, in the area known as The Cults Burn Park which meanders through Countesswells. She also lit up the stunning row of cherry trees beside it.
"
The tree really helped to cement the community spirit and capture the magic of Christmas and now has now become an important part of the festive season here at Countesswells”

Karen explained “Our first year, 2018, we didn’t know what to expect. We sent out an invite to residents to come and join us for some carol singing under the Christmas tree, thinking we might get a handful and had 200 people turn up.
“Residents absolutely loved the decorations so we ran a competition on our Facebook page asking people to share their selfies with the lights which was a great success.
“The tree really helped to cement the community spirit and capture the magic of Christmas and now has now become an important part of the festive season here at Countesswells.”
Charlotte has since provided a community tree in 2019 and 2021, despite the ups and downs of 2020.
